Artist
Very talented guitarist/lyricist. Also plays in a band called Stereofan. Once strictly instrumental in his solo work, he started to perform songs with vocals in 2006 under the moniker Bowery Boy Blue. He has since given up the moniker, but still performs many of the same songs and has even put lyrics in one song on his new album, All of the Morningbirds. The instrumentals tend to be more complex, but the guitar work on both is very impressive. Neil Young, who he lists as one of his influences, definitely comes out in his performance. He is one of the few artists who conjures up Young in a way that does not seem forced or inadequate. His acoustic set is clean and powerful, and his electronic work is very similar--he is not an artist who leans on producers.
