There are two artists by the name Zapf Dingbats. 1. The first one is an anonymous DIY combo from southern Sweden, known to make public appearances wearing ape masks. Their music is sometimes described as "synth pop", which may be a bit misleading; this is not your traditional synth pop sound, but rather a blend of electronic pop and guitar driven rock'n'roll. The lyrics are usually derived from word games and strange semantic associations. Zapf Dingbats' main influences are, among others, Devo, XTC, and The Mopeds. Their only album so far is entitled "We're Only In It For The Monkey", and was released in 2007. 2. There is no info about the second one at this time.
