Artist
Zachariah Russell, born December 1989 in Rockhampton, Queensland, auditioned for The X Factor Australia's fourth season in 2012. He sang Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" to mixed responses from the judges. Melanie Brown thought his rendition was annoying, Natalie Bassingthwaighte said he "butchered the song" but has star quality, and Ronan Keating said it was the wrong song choice. However, he received four yes votes from the judges. During bootcamp Russell was put into the "boy band" along with 4 other contestants. This boy band went on to be called The Collective, and they finished in third place. Russell performed on The Collective's debut self titled "mini-album" and singles "Surrender" and "Another Life". Russell left The Collective early 2014. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
