Zaccharia is a rock quartet from Brussels, Belgium that fuses together a unique and original blend of heavy rock with emo & pop-punk tendencies. Zaccharia was founded in August 2002. At this time they played a mixture of hardcore and metal and as most bands do, they went through a few line-up changes. The band recorded and released a 3 song EP entitled Destination.01 in May 2003 and toured in support of Sepultura, Atreyu, Bleeding Through and Do or Die. They also played concerts and festivals in Holland and Germany alongside Hatebreed, The Exploited, Funeral for a Friend, Boy Sets Fire, Youth of Today and more. In September 2003, after their drummer, who was also one of the founding members left due to time constraints, the remaining members decided to change musical styles and take on a new challenge. Zaccharia therefore emerged in January 2004 as a four-piece rock band and have since then been touring Europe extensively, covering the Benelux, Germany, Italy and Slovenia, and released their debut album entitled Divorce.
