Ever since they have played on a regular base in jazz clubs and venues all over Belgium. In February 2009 Yves Peeters Group played at the first edition of the Bamako Jazz Festival in Mali, in September 2009 they played at the Jazz in’t Park festival in Ghent and in March 2010 they toured in Flanders and Brussels with Jazz Lab Series. In June 2009 they recorded their debut album ‘Sound Tracks’, which was released in February 2010 on the W.E.R.F. label. The repertoire consists of original compositions by all band members. The music sounds like a colourful landscape, characterized by a mixture of influences such as Americana and African music, with jazz as its basic ingredient. 'Mysterious music, a little country and a little bluesy, it brings the fierce landscape of desolate countries, such as in Texas or the Sahel, to mind. The members of Yves Peeters group, named after the drummer, are young, phenomenal musicians who have boundless ideas. This group can’t be categorized, as its music spreads as an adventurous perfume in the open air.'
