Your Shapeless Beauty is a French doom metal and death metal band from Arles, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Your Shapeless Beauty was formed in Arles by Nicolas Blachier and Filthy Dave (from Filthy Charity) at the end of 1994. After a year of instability, the lineup stabilized in late 1995 with Nicolas Blachier, Jean Marc Abate, Michel Canavaggia, and Reverend Michel C., leading to the creation of the demo Your Shapeless Beauty. Between 1996 and 2000, the group was joined by Nussli Jean-Marc (on drums). During this period, under the production of Adipocère Records, the band released their first album, which received recognition from both the French and international press [citation needed], including the EP Sycamore Grove. Between 2000 and 2003, the band relocated to the Paris region, even forming a community in Chalo-Saint-Mars. It was during this time that they developed their major work, the album My Swan Song. Meanwhile, in 2001, the group released the album Terrorisme Spirituel: Insoumission Complète through Adipocère Records.
