Young Rebel Rico is a 17-year old Canadian rapper and producer of Honduran descent. He has released five independent albums for free download, his latest having recently reached 1000 downloads. His number of YouTube subscribers is rising daily, and so are his fans on Facebook and Twitter. Through the internet, Rico is taking the Hip Hop world by storm, not to mention having also performed at various events and locations throughout his city of Vancouver, along with Kalvonix, and his group Virus Tower. Two years ago, Rico and Virus Tower made the front page of The Leader, a popular Vancouver newspaper. They also appeared on Shaw TV. Rico's blend of chilled out nostalgic instrumentals similar to those of the 90s Hip Hop era, and clever rhyme schemes with powerful themes make his music the revolution not only Hip Hop, but the music industry needs.
