Artist
The time of renewal in pop music is over; an often heard opinion among critics these days. They come up with even more complaints: the mixing of genres is the only thing bands can come up with nowadays. Conclusion: MUSIC IS DEAD. That's why Yesterday’s Men doesn’t find it’s inspiration in pop music at all, but more so in the painting arts and the literature from the long lost days of romanticism, and the gray smoky atmosphere of the small Parisian theatre. We try to view music as an art, which embodies emotional passion. Yes, it could be false hope, but maybe, after their music has landed on a hundred bureaus, they will actually find some daredevil who would be willing to give their bombastic theatrical music a chance. Yesterday's Men believe that it is of great importance to create a song with regard for every single little detail, so it comes as no surprise that we can ponder for ages on the shortest note. Yet.... they record everything in one take, only to adjust it again and again, many, many times until they are all satisfied, at least, for a little while. After all, they create music from the heart, and it deserves their fullest attention. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
