Born in Japan, based in Brooklyn, NYC, Yellowtail's sound is influenced from a wide musical spectrum. Yellowtail broke ground with his debut release on Compost Records' Future Sounds of Jazz 9 followed by original and remix releases from labels such as Irma, Head2Toe, Amalgama and Bagpak Music. His tracks have been featured on influential radio shows, such as Gilles Peterson's Worldwide on BBC Radio1, JdaFlex on 1XTRA, Elevations Radio Show, BrokenBeatRadio, Offtrack Radio, BeyondJazz, etc. He has also collaborated with artists such as Eska, Alison Crockett and Monday Michiru.
