Yellow W Van are a Portuguese band with influences from bands like Rage Against The Machine, and Funk and HipHop sounds. Formed in 1999, in Oeiras. In 2000, they won a competition that allowed them to open a concert by Ornatos Violeta, in Corroios, and record their first model, put on sale in 2001. The debut album Mundo Perfeito produced by Mário Barreiros and Marcos Nunes, (guitarist by Blind Zero) was released in 2002. In the meantime they performed numerous live performances. They played at festivals such as Paredes de Coura, Sudoeste, Festa do Avante and SBSR. In 2003 they released the EP Relatos e Mémorias with two new songs (Panorama and Sombras) and remixes of Agora, Funk Fumaça and Palavras. Agora's remix features the signature of Pitch Boys, Funk Fumaça by YellowHoperation (two members of the band) and Palavras by Tron (the name that hides Rui Silva, from Zen, and Marco Nunes, from Blind Zero). The following year, the second album Nobody Faz Filmes de Olhos Abertos was released on April 19th, completing the brand so far.
