Yellow Devil Sauce were formed in 1999 in Athens, Greece by Alex L. (guitar - vox), George N. (drums) and Costas K. (bass). The band started performing live at several Athens venues. In the year 2000 the band came first among other greek groups in the battle of the bands contest held at the An Club receiving mostly good critiques by music magazines such as Metal hammer, Difono etc. In 2004 Costas K. left the band due to artistic differences. Many auditions followed until Theodore R. (ex Crimson Sunsets bass player) joined the band. Theodore brought new essence into YDS sound and soon the band came up with new songs. Recently the band released their first self-titled LP through the indie label X-art.ici Music. The bands' heavy rock sound is mainly influenced by the Seattle scene, as well as bands like Tool and Stone temple pilots.
