Yazan Al Rousan was born in Amman, Jordan in 1977. Currently residing in Tunisia, he became fond of music at a very early age, went on studying it and graduated with a B.A. from the prestigious Jordan Academy of Music, in 2002. He is currently preparing a Masters in Musicology. Yazan's first album, Telfizion, came out in 2007 “The world is a big TV”, sings Yazan Al-Rousan. The ironic title - “Telfizion” – and cover picture announce it pretty clearly: the first album of this Amman-born, Tunis based music lover presents songs that blend dark humor and sharp observation, with themes ranging between everyday worries and intergalactic trips… As for the music, it is a highly infectious concoction of pop, reggae and Arabic inflections, illustrating the singer’s widely ranging tastes and maturity.
