Riverside, CA-based rock-pop hyphenate YUCCA PIE was formed by Dr. Richard Creme (lower left corner) of Southwest Technical and Agricultural College as a component of his thesis on Random Average Talent Theory. In his thesis, he attempted to prove that a successful combination of talented people could be chosen randomly from the telephone directory. The theory attempted to prove once and for all, political leaders, scientists, engineers, and yes, rock musicians, could be found in society randomly. After minutes of dialing, YUCCA PIE was born. Les Juno deBetta-vox. As a young slave of the Filipino drug and smuggling lord El Bisa, Lesjuno De'Betta escaped from the secret island encampment only because his captors did not think he could survive the two-mile swim in shark-infested waters to the next island. They were partially right. De Betta swam back to shore after the criminals laughed themselves to sleep on the beach. He stole a speed boad (equipped with about a kilo of speed) and made his way toward friendlier shores. He lived with his itinerant cousin Jerry in the US until the day he received a phone call from Dr. Creme. Les is the lead singer and poet. Dr Richard Creme' - gtr, vox, bass, drum programming.
