Yeison Orlando Jiménez Galeano (Manzanares, Caldas, July 26, 1991 - Paipa, Boyacá, January 10, 2026) was a Colombian singer-songwriter and composer of the música popular genre. From a young age, he showed musical talent by winning local singing contests and was named King of Song for five years in his hometown. Despite early hardships, including family separation, poverty, and working at Bogotá's Corabastos market as a teenager, he began composing songs at 13 and overcame personal struggles like drug addiction and house arrest to pursue his passion. Jiménez debuted professionally with the single "Te Deseo Lo Mejor" and released his first album, "Con el Corazón – Volumen 1", in 2013, featuring many of his original compositions. Hits like "Aventurero", "Por Qué la Envidia", "Vete", and "Hasta la Madre" propelled him to national fame, earning multiple Premios Nuestra Tierra nominations and wins, including Artista Popular del Año. He performed internationally in the US and Europe, judged on Yo Me Llamo in 2021, and headlined major venues like Bogotá's Estadio El Campín in 2025, composing over 70 songs throughout his career. Tragically, Yeison Jiménez died at age 34 on January 10, 2026, in a plane crash near Paipa, Boyacá, while traveling to a concert in Medellín.
