Artist
No Wave with toy instruments. The women who comprised this eccentric New York trio played drums, keyboards (nothing fancy or high-tech), bass and ukulele. They also sang such numbers as "The Shah Song," lyrics like "Don't be afraid to be boring" and adaptations of "Bert" Brecht. The Y Pants offer no stylistic pretensions, merely highly idiosyncratic music for aficionados of the arcane, intelligent and delightful.
