Gloria Edna Nyabange is a Kenyan Hip-Hop emcee AKA XTATIC. Hailing from the capital city of Nairobi, Xtatic began her foray into 2012 with an independently produced video entitled “The Prep Track” which caught the attention of major recording label Sony/RCA. Xtatic would eventually sign a multi album deal with Sony, making her the 1st. artist in Kenya to sign a recording deal of that magnitude. The debut single “Wild” displayed Xtatic’s witty and aggressive style, proving that a female hip-hop artist can rival her male counterpart on the most aggressive level. It was not until her second release “Hit ‘Em Up” that not only Kenya, but also South Africa and other countries began to pay attention to this twenty-three year old rap sensation.
