New Ensemble Xenia Turin represents the natural landing place for the more than twenty years of one of the most prestigious ensembles dedicated to contemporary repertoire in Italy, the Xenia Ensemble.New Ensemble Xenia Turin was born in 2017 and intends to represent both the experience of the Ensemble from where it comes from and look to the future, with the eyes of the new members of the quartet. Eilis Cranitch, co-founder in 1996 of Xenia Ensemble, marks the continuity within the group that, over the years, has welcomed Adrian Pinzaru (violinist), Claudio Pasceri (violoncellist) and, more recently, Mizuho Ueyama (violist). Xenia Ensemble has collaborated with the most illustrious composers of today and with many important performers, including Arvo Pärt, Sofia Gubaidulina, Frangis Ali-Zadeh, Alexander Balanescu, Hilliard Ensemble, Rohan De Saram, Luisa Castellani, Lorna Windsor, Rosemary Hardy, Giya Kancheli, James Macmillan, G The quartet has participated in some of the most prestigious festivals at international level and has performed at important institutions, including Ravenna Festival, Cité de la Musique in Paris, Holland Festival in Amsterdam, Art Square Festival in St. Petersburg, Asiagofestival, Icebreaker Festival in Seattle, Festival Mito Settembre Musica, Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon.
