WYNTON KELLY STEVENSON Born in Englewood New Jersey, August 18th 1973 Wynton Kelly Stevenson was named after a great pianiste Wynton Kelly it’s seems that since his birth Wynton was ment to be part of a this special music and artist world. He started playing music since a very young age, easy to understand with a great Jazz composer like Rudy Stevenson as a father. Wynton always had the material to express his feelings, piano, harmonica, percussions ,...and 2 brothers to play with. He began to play around with the piano in his house, the Wynton Kelly’s ghost in him was speaking, but one day he discovered the drawer where his father use to leave all his deffected harmonicas. That’s where Wynton Kelly Stevenson founded himself and the real instrument to express himself. His father saw it and decided to give him harmonica lessons, with a proper harmonica in tune, so that he doesn’t learn from broken harmonicas. So at the age of 12 Wynton began to learn bits by bits from his father, but rudy beeing on tour so often, Wynton got tired of learning so slowly, and began to invent new things, and pratice by himself. They had a band with his brothers called the „3 plus“ they played in Manahtan in all five boroughs. He kept practicing and playing not to make himself famous but to enjoy the music and share it with people. In 2006 he played at the Brooklyn 8 JVC Jazz Festival as well as the New Port Road Island JVC Jazz Festival with Savion Glover on of the best American tap
