The year 1999 was a beautiful one. After renting a rehearsal place and a leisure time complex in Roihuvuori (aka the 36th chamber), the Funk possessed few young men and they formed a little jam group, Tunnelbana, which during these past few years has grew bigger and bigger and took it's form as Wylli Groove Federation. After a long hiatus the group has been awakened in 2011 by the power of Funk a nd is now a band of six ready to funk the world. Still situated in the comfortable zone of eastern Helsinki, the band is doing its worst at f0nk Studios. The great Fortuna has smiled upon us and blessed us with talented young musicians from different corners of Helsinki who share the passion to spread love and good feeling. All genres of music are allowed in the mix. Different styles and backgrounds of the musicians make this band sound unique. Grooves are still heavily based on 70's rock and Funk Armed with The Funk and open minds Wylli Groove Federation is fighting for our rights to live, love, smile and funk the livin' shit outta our rumps.
