Worlds Only, inspired by Megan Alice Clune's zine World’s Only, is a fluid collective of musicians including Alister Hill, Darren Lesaguis, Jenny Trinh (Wytchings), Justin Tam (Tzekin), Reginald Harris, and Thomas William Smith (T. Morimoto). Based in Sydney and London, the group blends classical, experimental, and indie influences, focusing on live, site-specific improvisations rather than studio recordings. With over four decades of combined experience, members have performed at iconic venues including the ICA London and Sydney Opera House, while also contributing to influential collectives such as Eternal Dragonz and Serial Space. Their debut release, Worlds Only World (June 2024), is a 24-track compilation featuring collaborations, one-off pairings, and rare pieces. Courage to Detour and Patience to Wait was recorded live during Worlds Only’s debut performance on January 30, 2024, at Phoenix Central Park in Sydney. Formed specifically for this two-concert event, the album marks the only time Worlds Only will perform this piece.
