Wooming (born on November 13, 1986 in Hyogo, Japan) is a Japanese guitarist, bassist, keyboardist and male vocalist, as well as was the main arranger and founder of the doujin music circle Kissing the Mirror (disbanded in 2016). As of 2026, he is the guitarist, composer, mixing engineer and founder of The Art of Mankind, and also has a solo project named Wooming. Speaking of his guitar playing style, he's primarily a rhythm player but can play lead smoothly as heard in his live performances. In the case of The Art of Mankind, he mostly harmonizes solos or plays rhythm, while the second guitarist Kenkawa plays the majority of the songs' solos. His picking technique is rather unusual - as in, he plays every riff precisely downstroked and at BPMs as high as 220 in 8th notes. It's one of the factors making his sound come out heavy and punchy. Wooming's vibrato is also definitely worth hearing, being wide enough but a bit "shy", giving that kind of Wooming feel that committed listeners would appreciate. You could say it's roughly in the middle of his influences, those being Kouta of Thousand Eyes and The Black Dahlia Murder (either Ryan Knight or Brandon Ellis).
