Wooly & the Mammoth got their start in a small Brooklyn apartment after guitarist Ian Holubiak and violinist Shayna Gonsalves began writing a variety of original folk songs. "We play music, sometimes. Other times, we’re writing. Most times, it’s nothing. We derive inspiration from early folk revival artists, fusing folk and indie to form a sound all new and Brooklyn-bred. We are Wooly & the Mammoth."
