Wooden Avalanche is multi-instrumentalist Jay Whiting. Jay was born in Lowell Massachusetts and grew up with influences such as The Beatles, Modest Mouse and Bright Eyes. His music is a raw mixture of soul and rage and emotion. Focusing heavily on the guitar, his genre ranges from folk to indie rock. His songs are self-produced and done entirely by him. He studied Audio Engineering at The Conservatory of Arts and Sciences in Arizona. Many of his songs are loosely based upon his real life experiences and his tumultuous on-again-off-again relationship with a girl he's known since highschool. His first album, which is still in the making, is titled Arizona: The Album. The songs are being recorded one by one and posted online.
