Withering Void is a melodic death metal/deathcore band from Bogotá, Columbia. In Bogota, withering void began working in their sound, in january 2008 it defines a proposal. thanks to the consolidation of a work minded group focused in the production of an EP seeking to make a significant contribution to the local and national metal music. We began composing lyrics that reflected reality as a collective as a starting point, from the current sociopolitical context, looking at the real people and situations that reveal the true Colombian conflict from an objective point of view, without supporting any flags or taking anyone's side, just trying to show how things really happen, not told by us but from the actual victims and perpetrators of this terrorism and drug war. Trying to create a collective memory that keeps us from repeating it, calling for a union in search of our identity as a nation asuming a critical position towards the reality of the nation So in late March Withering VOID began recording their first single "Raven" with delta records runned by the sound ingenier Julio Monroy.. In May the band performed the premiere of their first video clip "Raven" on the metal lord video bar in the city center sharing this achievement with the metal scene in Bogota. we simply pretend to be sincere and consistent with our ideas, trying in some way to give a contribution to our society, we hope you enjoy.
