With Arms Still Empty was an emotional hardcore band based out of Grand Rapids, MI, and was active from 1998-2002. The band formed out of the ashes of several other Grand Rapids and Muskegon bands, and quickly began playing shows around the Midwest a couple months after forming. The With Arms Still Empty sound and dual vocal style was heavily influenced by bands like Boy Sets Fire, Grade, Instil and You and I. Although the band did not tour heavily, they played frequently in the Midwest, and went on short tours out East and West with Blue Skies Burning and John Brown Battery. While active, the band released a split 7” with Hamilton, Malakhai, and Just for Kicks, a CD EP entitled “Watching Friends Fall”, a split CD with Milwaukee’s Since By Man, and several demos and comp tracks.
