Windows and Ballots is a progressive dreamfunk/post-avante jazzcore band formed in 1969. They reformed in 2010 to release the breakthrough concept albums, Sgt. Mangum's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and NO CONTINUE to much fanfare. Rocketed to mainstream success, the band created What a Tremendous Faggot, a breakthrough pop album. Said by pitchfork to be "disgusting" and "mainstream," it was hated by the independent community, but it got a 9.9/10 due to a typo. Helped pave the way for bands such as King Crimson and Neutral Milk Hotel, and the inspiring force between Animal Collective. Said by John Lennon to be "the best damn thing I've ever heard, or my name isn't John Lennon and dead".
