Frederik Willem (Wim) Laman ( The Hague , April 22 1946 ) is a Dutch composer . He got on his 21st year his first music lessons at the Beverly Hills Music Lyceum ( General Music Education and flute ). From 1970 to 1975 he studied philosophy at the University of Leiden , with minors in musicology and psychology. During these years he developed self-taught as a composer, in which students ensembles performed his first compositions. To his overseers Terlingen include: - Temps et Durée tone for band and orchestra, which was conducted, led by the Leiden Student Chamber Orchestra (Lesko) in 1974 Ed Spaniard . The piece is based on the eponymous work of Henri Bergson. - The engagement piece What Baet the Free ... Heit, a piece for two speaking voices, chorus and orchestra, which he composed on the occasion of the 4th centenary of the University of Leiden in 1975 and twice in the Peter was conducted.
