Willum and the works formed in 2003. Mike and Dan were looking to form a band with an interesting sound and break away from the pop-punk/emo conveyor belt in New Jersey. And God knows, Dan and Mike with a hardcore band is bad news. The smart thing to do was to just write some songs, put sounds together, and make noise that someone is bound to mistake for art. After a long and annoying scuffle amongst drummers, it was decided Scott would provide the Beatz (yo) for Willum and the Works.
