Willie Cherry is a Twin Cities based singer/songwriter who enjoys writing songs about functional/dysfunctional people using a minimalist palette. He enjoys playing vintage guitars, new guitars, guitars with great backstories, and guitars he got an awesome deal on. Hobbies include hanging around friends he now calls "colleagues," relearning trust and respect with his tarantula and collecting various exotic and not-so-exotic pets. He plays guitar and rudimentary piano very well and sings like a child who has been up all night crying and awoken to a new day. He shares the stage with The Box Fans if he can assemble them. He worries about homeless animals, stormy weather, alternate tunings, and the feminist politics of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
