WILLIAM SOUFFREAU was born in Erembodegem ,under a Belgian moon ,on the 14th of April 1946. He plays music for more than 5 decades now and jumped onto the music scene in the early 60's with a few friends from school. His first band was called THE BLUE JETS. In that period William wrote his first songs like " Feel so Lonely" ,that can now be heard on the album 'Shake It' (2002) In 1970 he formed with some friends THE VOODOO. Later on The Voodoo changed their name into Irish Coffee (Search more information about and music of this band on Last.fm's Irish Coffee page). With Irish Coffee william recorded in the early 70's 1 album and 4 singles, all collector's items now. In 1970 William was voted Belgium's nr 1 Rocksinger. The band played many concerts, and did numerous TV and Radioshows. They were also support-act for groups like Uriah Heep, Chicken Shack ,Golden Earring, and many more. Between 2002 and 2005 William reformed Irish Coffee which resulted in 1 new album and in a live appearance on the famous German rock program Rockpalast. From this concert there is a CD/LP/DVD available. In 1974, the Irish Coffee story came to an end. William then started JOYSTICK, a band with a fine horn section and great musicians like Tony Boast+ . A few of the Joystick songs have been recorded later for the Irish Coffee reunion album from 2004. Joystick also was support-act for Motorhead!
