Will John Stevenson (born March 27, 1962) is an English progressive country/folk/blues/metal/trance/experimental/pop singer, songwriter and musician. He was born in Kingston upon Thames, England. Stevenson currently resides in Helsinki, Finland with his Finnish boyfriend(s?). In 1985, Stevenson was playing the club circuit as a singer with an experimental soul band named UFO, when he was seen by the record producer Aku DJ and persuaded to come to Artjärvi to work at the Shithouse recording studio. His first single was the famous 1986 hit “Bonnie the Cat” written by Stevenson himself. It became an immediate success, spending five weeks at the top of the British charts and becoming the year’s highest-selling single.
