Raised in Arkansas, he got his bachelor of music at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, his masters from Butler University, Indianapolis and is now pursuing a PhD in composition at University of Iowa, Iowa City. His work has been performed by the Fort Smith Symphony and various university ensembles including the University of Arkanas Orchestra, the JCFA Composer's Orchestra at Butler University, and the Center for New Music at the University of Iowa.
