about

There are at least two bands named Wild West : 1) Wild West was a Sydney post punk band formed from members and fans of Voigt 465 aka Voigt 465/Radiators. Active in 1979 through 1981 they released a four track EP Beat the Drought from which 'Calling the House' achieved high rotation on Sydney alternative radio station JJ/JJJ. Two other recording sessions brought their total recorded tracks to 21, some of which have seen the light of day on compilations or online as mp3s. A Wild West retrospective album - Scratch Another Day - is scheduled for release 17 January 2010. In the meantime the albums listed below ['Top Albums'] are from a different Wild West. More info at No Night Sweats Sydney's post punk bands pages. 2) Wild West is a French hard-rock band founded in 1996.
