There are two bands called White Vinyl: 1. currently active psych/garage band from Warrington, Cheshire. 2. indie band from Middlesborough, active 2006-2008 1: White Vinyl are based in Warrington and their debut single, Shifting Sands b/w Mountain Top is due for release in June 2012. http://www.facebook.com/whitevinylmusic http://www.youtube.com/whitevinyluk http://www.whitevinylmusic.bandcamp.com http://www.myspace.com/white_vinyl 2: White Vinyl formed in late 2006 when Louis Garbutt (drums), Louis Dawkins (bass/guitar) and Tom Porter (guitar/bass/vocals) were joined by Louis G's brother Tim Garbutt (acoustic guitar/vocals). The band started writing immediately and this hard work was repayed with gigs in places such as Durham, Sunderland and even a gig at London's The Rhythm Factory with Hatcham Social and Tokyo Dragons. Promoters have also trusted White Vinyl as the local support to bigger bands coming to the North East. For example Friendly Fires at Ku Bar in Stockton and their most notable local gig, playing the Empire in Middlesbrough for the second time supporting The Maccabees. They had a style most are not confident to pigeonhole, incorperating Indie, folk, punk and a dusting of rock'n'roll. However due to various issues White Vinyl went on an indefinite hiatus in 2008, and as yet have no plans of re-grouping, but they all still love each other. www.myspace.com/whitevinylband.
