Purporting to be the first racialist American punk band, White Pride formed in St. Louis, Missouri in 1982. They became infamous for their highly offensive lyrics from pretty much all of the early American punk scene and it didn’t take long for the anti-racist groups of the day to start boycotting them. From the horse's mouth: "I knew three of the four guys in WP, and played in Drunks with Guns with the drummer, who sang for Drunks. Those songs were all recorded in ’81 or 82. It was originally released on cassette only. Any CD’s you’ve seen are unauthorized bootlegs, most by White suprmecist assholes, and the band really are against that. The guitarist was half Chinese. Bob Leach, RIP. The drummer, Mike, is part gypsy. They are not exactly PC, but they generally hate capitalism and oppose the KKK and White Racialism and all that crap." They released one EP entitled “Peace My Ass” and have a German bootleg EP in circulation called “The Early Demo Trax” (a split record with early era Agnostic Front). Several White Power music labels have since bootlegged the “Peace My Ass” EP and have released it as a full length CD called “Your Loss Is Our Gain”. Though White Pride's material was tongue-in-cheek (much like Aryan Disgrace, The Fuck Ups, and Chronic Sick), they've always been taken VERY seriously in the nationalist scene.
