When I Was 12 is now CATNAPS! When I Was 12 is Adrianne Gold, Daniel Houwen, Carolyn Haynes, Ryan Heupler and other beautiful revolving members who like to write silly love songs and want to feel alive. They are from Philadelphia, PA and make music centered around young romance, female harmonies, acoustic strumming, and simple accompaniments. They have released two albums thus far: a six-track EP, This Is Before Camille Took All AP Courses, and the full-length, Dear Eskimo, recorded at Cambridge Studios in Newton, PA and released in January 2009. The band is an unsigned independent but make songs available on their Myspace.com page at http://www.myspace.com/wheniwas12.
