Having shared the stage with world class bands like The Simple Minds, The Smiths, Billy Brag, King Sunny Ade, Bauhaus, and Henry Rollins, (to name a few), the former Unknown Gender singer/songwriter/guitarist, L.C. Messinger, is now the compact single member performance artist, When Girls Collide. L.C. Messinger has had formal training as a guitarist/composer at Berklee School of Music in Boston, Mass. Rounded off with a degree in Computer Science & Electronics. Branded for life by New York City's Village Voice as best unsigned female vocalist, Ms. Messinger migrated abroad and established herself as one of Continental Europe's most influential female performing artists. L.C. Messinger and her former musical colleagues, Unknown Gender, were responsible for unleashing the all-girl band movement that spread throughout Western Europe and Scandanavia.
