Whatt Four (Riverside, California) - Dandelion Wine/You're Wishing I Was Some One Else 45- Mercury 72716 - 1967. Dandelion Wine was the original "A" side. It was the first record that used a electric sitar. The group formed about 1966 in Riverside, California. The members were Greg Sanders (Bass and Vocal). Tom Bitters (guitar). John Langdon (guitar) and Tom Ference (drums and percusion). Engineer was Gary Paxton. Recorded in Los Angeles in Gary's garage, which was his studio. Shortly after release Sanders and Ference were drafted into the US Army (1967-69). Group reformed in 1969. Changed name to Allis Chalmers. Had one record "Sing a Song" on the Cream label.
