West The Defender is a five piece pop-rock band hailing from Central New Jersey. Amidst a generation of music where the difference between good music and filler is becoming harder and harder to define, West The Defender brings forth a "back to basics" approach to the table; drawing pop sensibility and timeless song writing from great artist such as The Beatles, Incubus, and The Get Up Kids. West The Defender presents a vibrant energy to both live performance and studio sessions that todays music industry deserves. Presently the band is promoting their new 3 song basement demo and booking as many shows as possible. All 3 songs are available on Myspace, Purevolume, iLike, Last FM, and Facebook. In November, West the Defender will be entering Soundwave Studios to record a 5 song EP set to release in January. This motley crew of close friends consists of 5 guys, all products of Union High School in Union, NJ, who have been playing together on and off since any members decided to be in a rock band. While always striving to write better songs and play better shows, West The Defender has recently realized their vision of the band's sound and intends to relay that vision to as many listeners as humanly possible. Having years of experience as musicians and a fresh start as a band, West The Defender will ensnare the hearts of listeners hook, line, and sinker.
