Werner Genuit (born June 3, 1937 in Wuppertal, † January 3, 1997 in Karlsruhe) was a German pianist. Formation: Since his early youth Werner Genuit spent nearly every free hour at the piano. However, as his school friend, the clarinetist Dieter Klocker, Werner Genuit first learned a crafting profession and made the baker's apprentice. He then studied at the Northwest German Music Academy, now the University of Music Detmold, with Hans Richter and Haaser in Geneva Hiltbrand Louis, where he graduated unanimous with the first prize.. Concerts: Numerous concerts and tours as a soloist and chamber musician with major orchestras and ensembles have taken him to all European countries, Africa, Asia, South America and Canada. His partners included the violinists Josef Suk, Tibor Varga and Wanda Wiłkomirska, the cellists André Navarra, Anner Bijlsma and also the spokesman Hans Clarin. A close cooperation existed particularly with Dieter Klocker and the Consortium Classicum. Recordings: Among the TV shows a transmission of the Gershwin Piano Concerto with conductor known as a film composer Eberhard Schoener and an appearance with bassist Ludwig Streicher at Alfred Biolek "Bio's Bahnhof" are emphasized. His discography includes 92 LPs and CDs with 183 plants (mainly for the labels EMI, cpo, Bayer Records).
