A New York City and Scottsdale, AZ based performer. Scherl took an eighteen-year hiatus to raise two sons. In 2015, Scherl returned to the cabaret scene appearing on one of New York's oldest and most famous cabaret stages, Don't Tell Mama, with her critically acclaimed show 'What Do You Do All Day.' In the summer of 2015, Scherl entered a six-week run of the highly competitive MetroStar Talent Challenge. She was awarded First Runner Up from a field of sixty talented Broadway and Cabaret performers. Following MetroStar, Scherl began her collaboration with multiple award-winning director Barry Kleinbort, and esteemed Musical Director Christopher Denny (MD for Karen Mason and the late Julie Wilson). With Kleinbort and Denny, her show 'NEW Scherl in Town' garnered her first nomination for Best Female Vocalist at the 2018 Manhattan Association of Cabaret and Clubs Awards at BB Kings. Following the success of her CD (produced with Kleinbort and Denny), the three collaborated again on her current show, 'Town and Country', which she is currently performing around the United States. For 'Town and Country', Scherl received a nomination for Best Female Vocalist from MAC and Broadway World Cabaret Awards. Her CD, 'You'll See' also received a Broadway World Nomination for Best Independent Recording. EVERY SONG A STORY.
