Hailing from a hometown thats better known for what it rhymes with than its music scene, Weak At Best are one of a handful of bands that are starting to put Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada on the musical map. Their tight and energetic live performances made the group a band to watch in emo-rock circles with the release of their second album A Nightmare & A Fairytale. Their blend of insanely catchy indie-rock and incessant touring have put the band in the position where their growing legion of fans makes every show feel like a date in their hometown. In the last year, Weak At Best has released their second full-length on Gig Records (an indie label from NJ), toured the Eastern US, and has toured Canada twice. All things considered, the band has come a long way from its inception during the high school days of vocalist/guitarist Jim Demeray and percussionist Danny Elder. Getting their start creating punked-out versions of 90s pop hits, the band solidified their lineup a couple years later when Devan Sperlie (bass) joined the group in 2000. This lineup created and recorded the material that would make up the bands first album Made To Break, which has sold over 2000 units with very little promotion. After a previous attempt at finding a second guitarist failed, the band managed to persuade long time hardcore guitarist (in Indignance) Riley Agopsowicz to join the group in fall 2003.
