While growing up in a small town which didn`t accommodate a lot of space for a subculture, Manuel and Constantin founded the band We fade to grey in 2004 right in order to leave these conditions behind. After some changes in the personnel finally their good friend Julian joined the band on bass in 2007. Their strong believe in the DIY ethic of Punk and Hardcore still drives them to create music they love. Soundwise it has its home in cities like Washington DC, Halifax or Chicago at the turn of the century. We fade to grey make Post-Punk music with a liking for tricky elements, experiments and a sense of catchyness. They love to combine complex guitar work, impulsive bass lines and tight drum parts to use all that as the foundation for their sound. In february 2009 the band has released a Split CD with Fluten from Hamburg on Miyagi Records. In the next year a split 7" with Mock from Berlin and a song on a compilation put out by the Munich based concert group This City Has No Seasons followed. In spring 2011 We fade to grey released their first full length record named Disappearances on the labels Asymmetrie and Avantpop.
