"We Voyagers" began in the fall of 2006, with the joining of many inspired people. Jordan Donaldson, Timothy Peacock,and Mason Mercer were looking for something new after an unsuccessful musical group entitled "Saurus". Everett Pauls and Michael Peacock, newfound friends, were interested in playing some music together along with little bro Tim. These artist would eventually join together when Mason and Everett talked in the halls at school and thought of possibly getting together to play some tunes. And so it began, the union of something bigger... The first practices were held in the basement of the Peacock residence. Although practice was limited due to the schedule of members, they somehow found time to get together. Nicholas Shanks joined the lineup on drums right when practices first started. Alot of the practice time was spent on setting up equipment, and some time on finding a sound. The original sound consisted of soothing keyboards and an overall relaxing "indie" sound. Electro-indie was the aimed for sound. Many names were tried for the band, including: "The Yellow Ponchos", "Paste", "Burning Birdies","Copia", and eventually "We Voyagers". Which Mason Mercer came up with during a cross country practice. Well the time came for a change in the lineup. Everett Pauls had to step out of the group.
