A long time ago... In March 2008, a few highschool friends had just started talking about starting a band together, a far fetched idea that soon became reality. The line up had consisted of, Clint Lewis - keyboard, Evan Montez - guitar, Brandon Hawthorne - guitar, Miguel Talevara - bass, David Montez - drums, Enrique Ayala - vocals. In the beginning everything seemed to move pretty slowly, just writing songs, practicing, and having fun. The band had no idea where things would lead soon lead them. Nothing had prepared them for what would soon happen. In mid 2009, David had passed away in a terrible car accident. After the tragic death of a loved family member and band member, the band remained silent for a short while and then later began to practice and write new music with Josh Brady as their new drummer. In 2010 the band had thrown their first show/festival in honor of their ex drummer, David, the festival being called Davidfest which is now a yearly event in February. A few short months later, Josh had moved out of state, unfortunately. Jared Magana (formerly in In Times of Distress) had gladly taken his place, saying that "We Sunk The Mayflower is probably the most promising band I've been in." They played a Battle of The Bands later that year, however a month after Miguel had left the band for personal reasons.
