We Invent You is an indie rock band from Den Haag, The Netherlands consisting of members Jean Midde, Bart van Geyt (both ex-Footsweep), Mark van Dijk and Ralph van den Hoogenband (both ex-Grechko's Doll). After a long history of Footsweep (since 1999) and some success in London and the local Den Haag scene, it was time to end it and make a new start. After the disbanding of Footsweep, singer/guitarist Jean Midde couldn't go on without a platform for his songs, so he made a plan with drummer Mark van Dijk to start a new band that would pick up where Footsweep left. They recruited bassplayer Bart van Geyt and not very much later guitarist Ralph van den Hoogenband completed the new band. And so with an inventive and dynamic new sound this became We Invent You.
