about

Hailing from Long Beach, California, band members David Quon, Derek Van Heule and Nathan Warkentin are the passion behind We Barbarians. The trio was formed after the collapse of their previous band, The Colour, and features an indie-bluesy rock sound that is generating growing and inspiring acclaim. Their latest LP, There’s This There’s That, comes housed with vivid imagery, zealous intensity, and a whole medley of rock revelry. Each track from We Barbarians is without a doubt catchy yet inventive. They can be seen as based on jagged riffs, reverb, heavy drums, and anthemic vocals, while being atmospheric and ambient. The intensity that We Barbarians bring is tantamount to the Cold War Kids or Arcade Fire, which is why there's no question as to why their fan base is on the rise.
