We Are Buildings originally came together from the ashes of two of Townsville's best/only post-hardcore bands when the drummer of one hauled it to Ireland and the other band dissipated into various projects, including a little group called The Middle East (name-dropping, what's up). So the first band (I'm not bothering with names here because really, you won't know who I'm talking about anyway) poached the second band's drummer and We Are Buildings was formed. They gigged and laughed and got accosted by angry bald neighbours for practicing too loud for the better part of 2006 and 2007, but then Javed went to drum for The Middle East, which we're still slightly bitter about. But then he came back, so it's all good. Then they gigged and laughed and got accosted some more, before everybody wound up moving to different cities and thus placing We Are Buildings on some sort of indefinite hiatus, reuniting annually whereever they can. But we recorded this EP just before everyone went their separate ways, and it felt like a pity for it to go unheard, so we hope you enjoy these tracks, however posthumous they sort of are.
