W∆ttusi: Born from Mexican brothers Octavio and Bernardo Torija in 2007, W∆ttusi is an experimental music project based on original composition and live performance. Having studied with great Cuban musician Arturo Stable, they first developed their skills while experimenting with Latin Jazz and Cuban music. They later discovered the profuse qualities of electronic music and where deeply interested by the liberty such a media could provide. This particular encounter combined with the influence of Cuban and Latin musicality led to a unique fusion in which instruments, played live, such as bass, ukulele, clarinet and saxophone are blended with electronic arrangements. Wanting to provide the spectators with a visual experience as well during their shows, W∆ttusi incorporates Mexican cultutral and artistic elements most often related to death. During their shows, they morph into 'calacas' to incite spectators to strut their stuff to the rhythm of their beats.
