WASAYA is a progressive rock act from Damascus, Syria in formed by Syrian musician Tarek SHEHABI. Tarek is a musician born and lives in Damascus; he is a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, piano and keyboards, at the beginning of 2014 he started the project 'Wasaya' which means 'wills' in English. It's a progressive rock act with a touch of oriental atmosphere and featuring many Syrian musicians playing oud, ney and guitars. So far WASAYA released an album at the end of 2014 under the name of ''Garden Of Doubts''. Tarek's main influence in music is Roger WATERS, PAIN OF SALVATION, AYREON, EVERGREY, KAMELOT and classical music.
